Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical experience for a 13-week contract requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting supporting general, ambulatory, and trauma surgical cases
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (6:30am-7:00pm), with potential for 5x8s Monday-Friday
• Call responsibilities required with rotating days off
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Surgical specialties include general, orthopedic, neurology, trauma, and ENT procedures
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required (pending license accepted with consideration, must be active before start)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical cases required
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred
• Must pass an on-site drug screen including marijuana panel

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Holiday coverage expected during the assignment
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates must avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival onsite
• First-time travelers will be considered as long as required skills and experience are met
