Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license and ACLS/NIHSS certification.

Details

• 28-bed stroke/telemetry progressive care unit serving as ICU step-down
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1
• Bedside procedures include cardioversions, sheath pulls, post-pacemaker care, and Airvo therapy
• Night shift, 7p-7a, 3x12 schedule, 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for stroke and telemetry-monitored patients
• Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities with family-centered education
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
