Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift step-down position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Progressive Care step-down unit from ICU with 26 private rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1
• All patients on telemetry with heart monitors and critical drips
• Patient population ranges from GI bleed to COVID and respiratory distress cases
• Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Last 4 of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Provide patient and family education and support discharge planning with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures tracking
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; candidates outside this radius accepted at a lower rate
