Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact license and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30), with shifts subject to change based on operational needs
• On-call not specified

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit with potential float assignments to related units and the ED
• Required to work every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required to remain on assignment
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent candidates may not return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals within 1 year of their previous end date
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
