Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and prior travel assignment experience for an inpatient/outpatient hospital setting.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient mammography department
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 5x8 hours starting at 8:00 AM
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems
- May require floating between sister facilities near the contracted site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
- CA state license required; license required if applicable
- Experience with 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy
- Experience with fine needle aspiration and needle localizations preferred
- Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and universal precautions/core measures
- Ability to teach breast self-exams preferred
- Digital quality assurance procedure experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures including 3-D mammography and stereotactic biopsies
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront prior to starting the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
