Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT certification for a day-shift hospital assignment.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient mammography setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Procedures include 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems
- May be required to float between sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
- CA license required; license required if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
- Skilled in digital quality assurance procedures, radiation safety, and isolation/universal precautions
- Experience teaching breast self-exams preferred
- Must be able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Additional Information
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required prior to start
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the facility's parent health system
- Returning staff may be eligible after a 3-month break in service
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies for standard travel pay eligibility
