Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT CT/R certification.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 109 staff beds
• Adult acute care and outpatient work settings
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift (5x8, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) and evening shift (5x8, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM) schedules available
• Block schedule required: Thursday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Saturday-Monday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Weekend coverage required Saturday/Sunday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
• On-call required 2-4 nights per month
• No floating between units required for this role, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
• Uses Epic EMR
• Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems
• Performs CT scans of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions with and without contrast

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Valid state license or compact license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and starting peripheral IVs
• Age-specific competency required across neonate through older adult populations
• Must be comfortable managing musculoskeletal trauma imaging

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging procedures across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions, with and without contrast
• Any color scrubs permitted for this unit
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer time off requests may not be accommodated
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required for consideration
