Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active MN RN license and medical surgical GI, urology, and GYN experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit specializing in GI, urology, and GYN patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Uses Epic/Excellian charting system

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with telemetry remote monitoring, Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, and feeding tube management required
• Experience as a traveler preferred
• Preferred experience with MS/Tele, post cardiac surgery, post MI, post angiogram, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation
• Short-term acute care facility with 672 staffed beds
• Navy scrub color required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Candidates must be gone 3 months from last shift worked as a Perm (Staff or Per Diem) employee to be eligible for rehire
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• First-time travelers may be considered, though experienced travelers are preferred
• Fingerprinting is a Minnesota state requirement for all candidates with no exceptions
