Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring prior travel experience and recent L&D experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit functioning as an overflow unit covering post-surgical and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6/7
• Unit is transitioning to a team nursing model
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license (State or NLC Compact) required, no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required
• ADN accepted for this position
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a Labor and Delivery unit supporting overflow, post-surgical, and observation patients
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Former travelers who completed a full-year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
• Holiday coverage required if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during the assignment, must work 2 of the 3
• If only 2 of those holidays fall during the assignment, must work at least 1 of the 2
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered
