Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of general and vascular sonography experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• 13-week assignment with 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekend coverage (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• May float to the South campus location
• Performs general ultrasound, vascular, and OB sonography studies
• Vascular studies include aorta, arterial mapping, carotid, Doppler, duplex, and stent evaluation
• General ultrasound studies include appendix, gallbladder, and pancreas imaging
• Works with adult, pediatric, and obstetric patient populations across ED, ICU, NICU, and portable settings
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS imaging system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in general and vascular ultrasound required; OB experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology program required
• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB and RVT preferred
• TCD experience preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• Must have license in-hand and Nursys verification available at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies including OB/GYN (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester), general abdominal, and vascular imaging
• Travel experience is highly preferred but not required, so first-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with no exceptions for positive results
