Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with 2+ years acute care RN experience and Epic proficiency for an acute renal care unit.
Details
- Acute Renal Care unit with 34 beds and a patient ratio of 4-5:1
- Patient population includes ESRD and peritoneal dialysis cases
- Medication administration includes heparin drips and insulin
- Skills needed include dialysis assessment, PCA management, feeding tube care, and wound vac care
- RN does not perform telemetry reading on this unit
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Works every other weekend
- 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly
Requirements
- Active KY RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may mentor or precept
- Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives within a Practice Governance framework
- No holiday RTO will be considered for this assignment
