Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and Epic EMR experience for an evening shift role in a hospital radiology department.

Details

• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Rotating every other weekend with a day off each week to fulfill weekend requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Performs abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
• Performs cardiac CT including calcium scoring and coronary angiography
• Performs vascular studies including CTA and pulmonary embolism imaging
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• ARRT-CT certification required, ARRT-R preferred
• BLS certification required
• CT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty, or 1.5 years with Level I trauma or travel experience
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• One professional reference required

• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible unless local rate is accepted
• Former staff must have a 2-year gap in employment to return as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
