Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CT registration and at least 1 year of CT experience.
Details
- 294-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Radiology department, Cat Scan unit
- Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
- Uses GE imaging equipment
- Meditech EHR experience preferred
- Monday-Thursday schedule, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM shift
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend, Friday-Sunday 7a-7p
- On-call required Friday 5:30pm-Monday 7a every 4th weekend for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and M-F dayshift
Requirements
- CT registration required
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred, 2 years overall experience required
- Associate's degree required
- BLS certification required
- IV insertion skills required
- 3D post-processing experience required
- License required if applicable
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA certifications required
- Active license verification required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging procedures across geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations
- Work independently with strong interpersonal skills
- Scrubs of any color accepted, but tee shirts without a lab coat are not permitted
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time

Doctors and most of staff are nice. Surgeries are not hard.
Cons
No staff so a lot of call. You will be on call within your first week or two, even if you don't know how to do anything. Unorganized. The director and supervisor don't know anything about the OR nor are they helpful. New staff are not properly trained. Everything falls on the OR nurse to do. They preop in house patients getting surgery. A couple of OR staff are bullies and lazy, they all think they are the boss. They tell the charge nurse what they are going to do and not going to do. Its like high school all over. Had to leave out of fear for my license.
