Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager with acute hospital and utilization review experience for a day shift position requiring a PA or compact RN license.
Details
- Case Management department supporting adult and geriatric patients in an acute hospital setting
- Average daily census of approximately 25 patients
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00am-4:30pm
- No weekend requirement
- Floating required within scope based on hospital needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or compact) required
- BLS and BSN required
- Minimum 3 years of Case Management experience required
- Acute hospital experience required
- LTAC/Rehab/Skilled Nursing experience required
- Med-Surg and SDU/PCU/IMC/Observation experience required
- Admission criteria review experience required
- Care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review experience required
- Concurrent review, continued stay, medical necessity, and retrospective review experience required
- Appeals and denials experience required
- InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines experience required
Additional Information
- Supports hospital case management and administrative oversight of Case Management department operations, growth, and development
- Must be available to work 1 holiday with no block scheduling accommodations
- Business casual dress code with a white lab coat required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at a local rate differential
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for the travel rate
