Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 1+ year of CT experience, ARRT, and a CA state license.

Details

Acute care hospital setting with Level II Trauma Center designation
488 staffed beds
Evening (4x10, 3:00 PM-1:00 AM) and Night (4x10, 6:00 PM-4:00 AM) shifts with start times varying between 1500 and 1800 as needed
Rotating weekends likely exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs
No on-call requirement
May be required to float to a nearby sister facility
Epic EMR used
Siemens CT equipment

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
Current BLS, ARRT (R), CRT, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
CA state license required if applicable
Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
Teaching hospital experience required
Trauma Level II experience required
Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
Epic charting experience required
Proficiency in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and ROI measurement
Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety
2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Must work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration
Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
Free parking available
Scrubs provided for OR assignments
First-time travelers accepted
Returning staff may be considered after a 3-month break
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
