Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• 36 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA) that does not expire prior to start date
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or PALS may be required as appropriate for the unit
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg specialty experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening required, with results typically taking at least two weeks
