Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab Unit position requiring a TN or compact RN license and prior rehab/med-surg experience.

Details

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit located on the 3rd floor of a hospital, 47 beds
• Patient ratios of 6:1, with care teams of 10-12 RN and LPN staff
• Med-surg level patient acuity
• Unit performs procedures such as trach care, PEG tube management, and in/out catheterization
• Uses equipment including Hoyer lifts and Sara-Stedy transfer devices
• Documentation performed in Meditech
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduling includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule cycle
• All staff must be willing to float as appropriate

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of recent experience in rehab nursing required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to inpatient rehabilitation patients including trach care, PEG tube management, and catheterization
• Unit recognized as a Newsweek Top 5 Inpatient Rehab Unit in 2022
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
