Overview

A busy, high-acuity pediatric hospital in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night-shift contract with a possible extension. This is a Level I trauma setting. Recent travel experience is preferred.

Schedule

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (7:00pm - 7:00am)

• Weekends: Every other weekend required

• Holidays: Required (New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are observed)

• Floating: Required. You must be willing to float to the hospital's sister facilities, as well as the ED and ICU.

• Time off (RTO): Minimal to none. Any requested time off must be included with your submission.

• Block scheduling: Not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients across a high-volume, high-acuity hospital

• Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation and high-flow/noninvasive support

• Respond to emergencies, perform triage, and support trauma and critical care patients

• Document accurately in the EMR

• Communicate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and the care team

• Float to the ED, ICU, and sister facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Proof of credential is required, and CRT is not accepted.

• Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license

• Copy of your diploma or associate degree program showing the RRT credential

• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience

• Pediatric experience is required

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS

• EPIC charting experience is required

• Skills: Ventilators, triage, Level I trauma, and Intermediate/Advanced floor management

• Equipment knowledge: V-60, Servo-i, Drager, Hamilton T1, Vapotherm, and Optiflow

Facility Requirements

• Locals are not accepted. Your permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.

• First-time travelers are accepted, though recent travel experience is preferred.

• Flu vaccine is required, with no exemptions.

• COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
