Opportunity:

PT Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts, choice of Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday schedule
• 40 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
• 2 weekend shifts required per month
• See approximately 8 patients per day treating adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Focus on total joint replacements with same day discharge, last evaluation starting at 5:00 PM
• Treat various diagnoses including falls, CVA, trauma, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, total knee/hip arthroplasty, ORIF, orthopedic cases, pulmonary embolism, sepsis, UTI, respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, and wounds
• Required certifications: BLS and New Mexico license
• Must have acute inpatient experience, first-time travelers accepted
• No on-call requirements or floating within facility
• Dress code: Black scrub pants and red shirt
• Use Cerner charting system
• Free parking provided
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Must complete 6 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and during orientation
• Skills required include acute care, outpatient clinic experience, rehabilitation hospital, SNF, body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain, post-operative care, spinal conditions, total joint replacements, cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
• No locals within 100 miles accepted
• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission

Facility:

This community-based hospital serves as a Level III Trauma Center and Level I Teaching facility with 65 inpatient beds and 12 ICU beds. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. As a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, the hospital provides specialized care for a wide range of medical conditions and maintains high standards for patient care and clinical education.
