Opportunity:
MS/Tele FLOAT RN
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week over 13-week assignment
• Weekend, holiday, and call requirements
• Must be comfortable floating to multiple units including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics
• Current New York nursing license required
• Must have completed at least one successful travel assignment (first-time travelers not considered)
• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing required
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred
• Coronary Care experience needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
• Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques
• Ability to function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
• Experience with MEDITECH charting system
