Opportunity:
OT - Hand Therapy / Occupational Therapist
Job Details:
• 8-hour day shifts
• See approximately 12 patients per day
• Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• May float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Hand clinic experience preferred
• Adult outpatient experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• California Occupational Therapy license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• CHT - Certified Hand Therapist preferred
• AOTA Hand/Upper Extremity certification preferred
• MS/MA degree preferred
• Treat diagnoses including post-op orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures of hand, wrist, and elbow, mallet finger, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries of upper extremity, CMC arthritis, cubital/carpal/radial tunnel syndrome, and degloving injuries
• Perform custom orthoses fabrication for post-op hand and upper extremity, acute fractures, and post-ORIF cases
• Implement therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, and orthotics training and management
• Utilize modalities including ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback
• Skilled in splinting including dynamic, functional, and static splints
• Operate equipment for fabrication of custom orthoses and modality equipment
