Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes); notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units can occur
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Depending on skill level, nurses may float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and any holding area including Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or hallway
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Charge nurse available with no patient assignment on all units
• PCTs available at a ratio of 1 per every 16 patients on Tele units; PCTs on days for MedSurg units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night
• No IV team; House SWAT Nurse available for difficult IV sticks on MedSurg units
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• No ventilator management required
• No pediatric patients; patients must be 15 years of age or older on Tele units
• Trauma Level 1 facility
• Acute care setting
• Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation
• Floor-specific orientation of 2 days/shifts provided on each unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

The facility supports a robust multi-unit environment with centralized telemetry monitoring, 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy services, and a strong hospitalist program. The organization is JHACO certified for its orthopedic knee and hip program and maintains a high standard of patient care across all units.
