Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between units based on skill level, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and all holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, observation floor)
• Floating between two campuses located 9 miles apart is possible; notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Navy scrubs required across all units
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation
• Every other weekend requirement for Tele units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• No ventilator management required on Tele or MedSurg units
• Common diagnoses include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neuro post-surgical, CVAs post TPA, ortho/surgical/oncology, and general MedSurg patients requiring telemetry

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services across multiple campuses. The facility supports a wide variety of specialty units including Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro, and Medical-Surgical departments, staffed with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, PCTs, and 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy teams. The organization maintains high clinical standards and utilizes Cerner for electronic health record management.
