Opportunity:

RN - Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• First to float, with possibility of floating to a sister facility
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (within the past 6 months)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Experience with Airvo/High Flow vents required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy
• BSN not required
• Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (maximum 2 attempts, no exceptions)
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
• 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Common diagnoses include neuro, CVAs, pulmonary, and general telemetry patients
• Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient services across a wide range of specialties. The cardiopulmonary telemetry and neuro unit consists of 26 beds and is supported by a dedicated charge nurse without a patient assignment, patient care technicians, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and 24/7 pharmacy services. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic charting system and maintains high standards of patient care across its specialized units.
