Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 8 weeks
• Holidays worked into permanent holiday rotation based on unit coverage
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Float to telemetry units and telemetry overflow in ICU
• 2-day floor-specific orientation
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Must be able to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs with central monitoring
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - 2 attempts allowed
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab evaluation covering Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion - pass/fail
• 32-bed Neuro Telemetry unit
• Charting system: Cerner with WOWs
• Charge nurse responsibilities available with light patient assignment
• Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psychiatric issues, brain tumors, and trached patients
• Average length of stay 4-5 days on a fast-paced, high-turnover unit with bedside reporting
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Scrub color: Steel gray
• Travel team members must have their own vehicles
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)

The facility features a robust support system including 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 central pharmacy services, and a SWAT RN team available for difficult IV access.
