Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Schedule requires 3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNs, and 3 twelve-hour shifts per scheduling period
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit staffed with RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs
• Travelers float first per unit floating policy
• Documentation systems used: CPN and Meditech
• Provide care for laboring patients and newborns immediately after delivery
• Circulate and recover cesarean section patients
• Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Shared decision making approach required for patient experience
• Scrubs not provided by hospital; required dress code is Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray

This facility is a well-established hospital housing a dedicated Women's and Children's building, providing comprehensive care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit. The 12-bed unit is supported by a collaborative team including RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs, ensuring high-quality care across a range of obstetric procedures. The facility utilizes modern documentation systems and maintains a commitment to shared decision making in patient care.
