Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• PICU and Adult experience required
• Must be open to floating to other campuses, including Swedish Issaquah
• Patient volume includes managing up to 5 ventilators with 6-8 RVUs
• Serve patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work setting experience required: Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, and Pediatrics
• Pulmonary Function Test Lab experience preferred
• Airway management skills required: extubation, intubation assist, nasal and oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy suctioning
• Medication administration experience required including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled Steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic Epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
• Medication delivery system experience required: aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, medihaler, and metered dose inhaler
• Nebulizer experience required: cold, hand held, heated, ultrasonic, T-piece, and trach collar
• Ventilator management skills required: BiPAP, flow-by, CPAP, high frequency oscillator, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Required ventilator experience: Draeger and Servo I
• Professional knowledge and skills required: ABG interpretation and basic EKG
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• EPIC skills required
• Washington state license required to apply
• Weekend coverage is variable
• Scrubs: Any color accepted
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
