Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Saturday/Sunday) required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes); notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units is possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Telemetry units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Charge nurses present on all units with no patient assignment
• PCTs available at a ratio of 1 per every 16 patients on Telemetry units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Simulation Lab evaluation on day one of orientation
• Common diagnoses include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neurological and post-surgical patients, CVAs post TPA, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients
• No pediatric patients; minimum patient age is 15 years old
• No vents on Telemetry or MedSurg units
• Cancellation policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

The facility features a JHACO-certified knee and hip program, centralized telemetry monitoring, 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support, and robust clinical supervision across all units. The organization maintains high clinical standards with structured orientation programs and competency evaluations to ensure quality patient care.
