Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Day and night shifts available, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Primarily PCU with float to ICU
• Every other weekend requirement; days require Saturday and Sunday, nights require Friday and Saturday
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Float eligible between all ICUs and PCU
• Primary location with required float capability throughout Region Two facilities in Lakewood, WA; Enumclaw, WA; and Tacoma, WA with rate differential when floated outside of primary location
• ICU patient ratio 1:1 or 1:2; PCU patient ratio 1:3
• 82 critical care beds across 3 separate floors (48 ICU, 34 PCU)
• Charting system: EPIC
• Manage all ICU level drips; PCU drips include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin; no pressors in PCU
• Ventilator experience required; no vents in PCU
• IABP or CRRT not required unless traveler has that experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• BSN not required
• Floor-specific orientation: minimum 2 shifts, maximum 1 week with an educator
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a robust critical care program with 82 critical care beds spread across three separate floors, including both ICU and PCU units. The facility provides comprehensive support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 pharmacy, and an IV team. Physician coverage includes on-site intensivists during the day with virtual ICU support and an ARNP available for procedures overnight, ensuring continuous high-quality patient care around the clock.
