Opportunity:

RN - 4W Cardiac

Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift
• Float coverage may be required into other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• In extreme need situations, may float within Zone 3 facilities
• Titrate drips including analgesics for pain management, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control
• Experience with cardiac drips and post cath lab patients required
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, HFNC, and NRB
• Telemetry monitoring supported by tele techs 24/7 with RN co-signing strips
• Holiday requirements apply
• Call or standby requirements determined by nurse manager
• Caribbean blue scrubs required for RNs
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Must be within 60 miles radius; valid driver's license must be submitted
• Must be available in state for full week of orientation

Facility:

This acute care facility features a dedicated 4W Cardiac unit that specializes in treating patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain workups, COPD exacerbations, and gastrointestinal disorders. The unit operates with a float pool encompassing medical-surgical and telemetry units, supported by 24/7 telemetry monitoring technicians and a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic charting system and maintains a structured scheduling process to ensure consistent and equitable staffing across all departments.
