Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry / Medical-Surgical (Float)

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Day shifts with 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units
• Floating required between units of similar or lower acuity, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, observation floor, holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, hallways), and between two campuses located 9 miles apart
• Campus and unit assignment notification provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start; mid-shift floating possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on Medical-Surgical units
• Every other weekend requirement on Tele units; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period on MedSurg units
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Travelers must pass a Sim Lab evaluation on day one of orientation
• 2-day or 2-shift floor-specific orientation depending on unit
• No ventilator management required
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required; valid state license required for submission
