PCU RN Job Details
- Location: Savannah, GA 31419 (Savannah healthcare jobs)
- Setting: Acute Care – Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown)
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840
- Self-Scheduling: Available
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Completion of at least 1 travel nursing contract
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
- BLS certification required
- Telemetry nursing experience required
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, and other stepdown diagnoses
- Monitor and manage patients on set-rate drips
- Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Utilize respiratory therapy equipment including nasal and face masks, BiPAP
- Document patient care using MEDITECH 6.1 electronic charting system
- Participate in comprehensive orientation with computer skills training and preceptor-led shifts
- Maintain compliance with unit policies and dress code standards
