- Position: Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)
- Location: Baltimore, MD 21201 (On-Site)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Temporary Healthcare Assignment
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Start Date: 03/02/2026
- End Date: 05/25/2026
- Schedule: Days, 4x10s (07:00–17:30)
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
- Weekends: 1 weekend per month (inclusive of on-call)
- Holidays: Required as they fall, as scheduled
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $2,570–$2,760
- Unit Snapshot: 4 procedure rooms; average daily volume ~15 cases; adult/geriatric population
Job Requirements (RCIS / ARRT-R Cath Lab Technologist)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience with RCIS (3 years required if ARRT-R in lieu of RCIS)
- Certifications: RCIS or ARRT-R required; AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
- Travel Experience: Prior travel healthcare experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Additional Experience: Community hospital experience required
- Preferred: Trauma Level I experience
- References: Two recent professional references (manager/supervisor preferred; charge acceptable)
Responsibilities (Cardiac Catheterization Lab / Interventional Cardiology)
- Scrub and/or circulate for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
- Support complex interventions and structural heart cases, including PCI, CTO, PFO/ASD closures, atherectomy, pericardiocentesis, valvuloplasty, TAVR, MitraClip, and TriClip
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and assist with recognition/interpretation of dysrhythmias and life-threatening arrhythmias
- Assist with advanced mechanical circulatory support and emergent therapies, including IABP, Impella, ECMO, and coronary thrombectomy
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and adjunctive technologies (e.g., IVUS/FFR/DFR systems, contrast injectors, specialty consoles)
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, anesthesia, and support services to ensure efficient room turnover and high-quality outcomes
- Participate in scheduled call rotation and respond to urgent/emergent cases as needed
