- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,700 – $1,790
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (Fri 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Sat & Sun 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Call Requirement: Required (variety of call shifts; average 4 calls/month)
- Setting: Operating Room — Adult & Pediatric perioperative care
- EMR: Epic
- Floating: Required; may float to sister campuses
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN (OR RN) experience; perioperative nursing experience required
- Pediatric OR experience required — experience with both adult and pediatric surgical patients preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- CNOR certification preferred (perioperative certification)
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred for travel nurse assignments
- Degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of clinical experience required
- Must be able to float to other units and campuses as needed and function as core staff
- Radius rule: Candidate must live at least 50 miles from permanent address to qualify for this travel assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative care for adult and pediatric patients in the Operating Room
- Assist and scrub for a variety of surgical specialties: ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery
- Participate in call rotations and respond to emergent surgical needs as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams — surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and nursing staff — to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR consistent with perioperative standards
- Float to sister campuses or other units as needed, functioning effectively as core staff during the assignment
- Promote a positive unit culture and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
