Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for performing CT procedures accurately, timely, and safely. The role involves evaluating radiology procedures, equipment, and staff to ensure quality service for patients, medical staff, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information
• Comply with hospital policies related to incident reporting
• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians
• Practice radiation safety for patients and co-workers
• Participate in Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures
• Provide patient education as needed
• Communicate effectively with referring physicians and radiologist staff
• Adhere to service delivery standards of the Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology Department
• Follow accepted clinical principles and procedures during CT exams

Education Requirements

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology (required)

Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Radiology Technologist license (NYS Department of Health) (required)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (required)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) (required)

Preferred Certifications

• NYS Injection certification
• ARRT CT Registration
