Unit Overview

• Unit: Women’s/NICU
• Beds: 24 LDRP beds and 10 NICU beds
• Patient Ratios:

  • 1:1-2 patients (general)
  • 1:4 postpartum
  • 1:4 well infants
  • 1:2-3 NICU
• Staffing: RN, Unit Coordinator (UC), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Lactation support
• Equipment: Fetal Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps
• Documentation System: CPN
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Floating Policy: No floating required

Required Certifications & Skills

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Skills:

  • Fetal Monitoring
  • Neonatal Resuscitation
  • Advanced skills related to labor and C-section procedures
• Procedures Performed: Labor and C-section

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Black and Hot Pink uniform required
• Patient Experience Requirements: Fetal Monitoring, NRP, ACLS certifications mandatory

• Schedule: Consistent 12-hour shifts with no floating, allowing for focused patient care
