Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position in a Level I Trauma Center providing care for critically injured patients.
  • Specialty services include heart and cancer care, advanced neuroscience, and multi-organ transplant programs.
  • Must be ready to start on or very soon after the order start date.
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests must be less than 7 days, not allowed during the first week or holidays of the assignment.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Emergency Room (ER) experience.
  • Prior travel experience is required.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Active Arizona or Compact RN license.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Other Requirements

  • Flu vaccination (declinations can be applied for).
  • Clean nursing license with no hits on Nursys at time of submission.
  • Must have a valid driver's license (candidates with an Arizona driver's license will not be considered).
  • Completion of required learning modules prior to assignment start.
  • Resume must include all facilities worked, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
  • Skills checklist specific to Emergency Room discipline must be provided.
  • Must comply with specific background and compliance requirements.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be fully prepared and ready to accept the assignment upon submission.
  • All shifts and departments the candidate is willing to work must be clearly indicated.
  • The facility assesses a 2% payment discount fee and a 2% technology fee on all transactions.
  • Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
  • Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma center environment with advanced specialty services.
