Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for performing CT procedures accurately and safely, ensuring timely and reliable evaluation of radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. The role involves direct interaction with patients, medical staff, and regulatory agencies, with a focus on excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with hospital policies related to incident reporting.
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
• Participate in Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologists.
• Adhere to clinical principles, methods, and procedures during CT procedures.
• Uphold service delivery standards in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.

Education & Certifications

• Required Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
• Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered - ARRT(R)
  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Preferred Certification: ARRT CT Registration
