Description

ICU RN Nights and EOW - 36 or 48hrs

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Level III Trauma Center
20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
Patient diagnoses include Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, Cardiogenic Shock
Attendings and Residents present 24/7
Facility includes 220 Med Surg beds plus ICU and Maternity

Job Details

Shifts: Nights and Every Other Weekend (EOW), 36 or 48 hours
Floating required to Medical/Surgical units (up to 4-5 patients)
Rotating shifts for day positions; night shift does not rotate
RN to patient ratio:
- ICU: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity
- Med/Surg float: 1:4 or 1:5
EMR system: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Specialty: RN ICU (Medical ICU)
Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience, preferably MICU
Must be able to read telemetry strips (Telemetry competency required)
Active Massachusetts RN license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
