Description

Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Pediatrics
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:45 – 18:00)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric speech-language pathology services in an outpatient clinic setting

  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and provide ongoing treatment

  • Treat children and adolescents with autism, developmental delays, neurodevelopmental disorders, and related conditions

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care with measurable goals

  • Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions with a focus on functional communication and family-centered care

  • Utilize adaptive and alternative communication devices and communication boards as appropriate

  • Conduct reassessments, discharge planning, and outcome tracking

  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies, home programs, and safety

  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and billing in the electronic medical record

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members as needed

Required Skills & Requirements

  • Active state Speech-Language Pathologist license

  • CCC-SLP certification

  • BLS certification

  • Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)

  • Experience in pediatric outpatient speech therapy

  • Strong experience working with children with autism and their families

  • Required experience with Epic documentation system

  • Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio with approximately 8 visits per day

  • Proficiency in pediatric speech and language assessments and treatment

  • Experience with alternative communication devices and communication boards

  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and billing requirements

  • Strong patient and family education skills

  • Ability to work independently and remain self-directed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in children's hospitals, pediatric rehabilitation facilities, or home health settings

  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems

  • Pediatric dysphagia experience, including bedside swallow evaluations and compensatory strategies

  • Familiarity with modified barium swallow studies and international dysphagia diet standards

  • Experience with additional pediatric populations such as hearing impairments, voice disorders, and fluency disorders

  • Knowledge of evaluation tools including CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Scale, and non-evaluative screening tools
