Description
Job Title: Medical-Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse (MS Float RN)
Location: Charleston, SC
Duration: 13 week
Shift:
• Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required to Medical-Surgical units at the Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients across multiple units

Float between assigned med-surg floors based on facility staffing needs

Manage varying patient ratios depending on unit assignment and acuity

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
-
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license
-
Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience

Ability to work night shifts and float between med-surg units

First-time travelers accepted
Current Certifications
-
BLS
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous float pool or multi-unit experience
-
Experience in a Level I Trauma or teaching hospital

Familiarity with EPIC charting
Distance Requirement

Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate
