Description
Title: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Towson, MD
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 – 17:00)
Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements:
-
Perform duties as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in a high-volume interventional setting
-
Prepare and maintain sterile field; function as scrub and room circulator
-
Set up, operate, and maintain cath lab equipment and supplies
-
Perform EKG lead placement, access site preparation, and accurate hemodynamic monitoring
-
Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias; utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
-
Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP insertion/removal, Rotablator, Shockwave, temporary and permanent pacemakers, and pulmonary artery line insertion

Support structural heart procedures such as PFO/ASD closure, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman (preferred experience)

Utilize vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)

Operate imaging and monitoring systems including Client Innova IGS, Philips, and PACS (preferred)

Maintain infection control standards and strict sterile technique

Document procedures using required charting systems

Participate in on-call coverage including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional experience with scrubbing experience

Active BLS and ACLS certifications

ARRT-R and/or RCIS required (RCIS preferred)

Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
-
Ability to work in adult and geriatric patient populations
