Description

Title: Speech-Language Pathologist – Pediatrics
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration:20-week contract
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
(4x10-hour shifts may be considered)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients in an outpatient children's hospital setting

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat infants and young children (ages 0–3) with speech, language, feeding, and developmental disorders

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments

  • Treat children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary pediatric care teams to support patient progress

  • Educate families and caregivers on treatment strategies and home programs

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Required Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of pediatric speech-language pathology experience

  • Required experience treating patients ages 0–3 years

  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

  • Prior children's hospital experience

  • Pediatric outpatient clinical experience

  • Active California state SLP license

  • CCC-SLP certification

  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with VitalStim therapy

  • Strong background in early intervention and multidisciplinary pediatric care
