Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Department

Dayton Children's Hospital | Dayton, OH

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This role is ideal for RNs with strong pediatric ED experience who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and are flexible with floating across multiple units.

Assignment Details

Start Date: January 19, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 5x8s (11p–7a)
Unit: Emergency Department
Location: Dayton, Ohio

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered nursing care in the Pediatric Emergency Department
Perform thorough assessments and deliver care based on patient acuity and hospital standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Float as needed across ED locations (Main ED, South ED, Mental Health Crisis Center) and inpatient pediatric units including Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, and Transitional Care
Manage a patient assignment of 1–4 patients depending on unit and acuity

Required Qualifications

BSN required
Active Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand
CPR and PALS certifications required
Pediatric nursing experience required
Preferred: 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience
