Shift

4x12-hour shifts
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
On-call: PRN for low census
Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients

• Manage patient assignments with ratios typically 1:6, flexing to 1:7 as needed

• Monitor patient conditions, including telemetry and insulin management

• Respond to rapid response situations as required

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

• Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic medical records

• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

• Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and emergency preparedness protocols

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)

• Preferred minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as required

• Willingness to float within scope of practice

Current Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

• NIHSS certification

• Epic charting experience

• Experience with Med/Surg, MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, insulin administration, and rapid response

Distance Requirement

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted
