Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Shift

3x12-hour shifts
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
Holiday rotation required
Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical renal patients

• Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:6–7

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic medical records

• Float within scope of practice to other medical-surgical units as needed

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

• Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and emergency preparedness protocols

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required

Current Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

• Renal or specialized Medical-Surgical nursing experience

• Epic charting experience
