Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiac Stepdown
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Contract Duration:13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (3 x 12s)
Job Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown and PCU patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer and titrate IV drips according to protocols
Perform patient assessments, documentation, and care planning
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, licensure, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state/district
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown / PCU experience
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – Required
BLS and ACLS – Required
Cerner EMR experience – Required
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Highly desired
