📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Room (Peds ER)
📌 Facility Location: 750 E Adams St, Syracuse, NY 13210
📆 Duration: 13 Weeks

⏰ Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
📅 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
🎄 Holiday Requirement: Some holidays required

🏥 Unit Details:
• Pediatric Emergency Department
• Adult ED experience is a plus
• Candidates with only combined Adult/Peds ED experience will not be considered

🧠 Experience Requirements:
• Majority of experience must be in Pediatric Emergency Department
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
• Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Travelers considered only if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

🩺 Clinical Requirements:
• Strong triage skills required
• Must be formally triage trained

📜 Licensure & Certifications:
✅ Active New York State RN License
✅ BLS (current and recertifiable)

💻 Charting System:
• EPIC experience preferred

🧩 Qualifications & Compliance:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
• No prior professional liability claims
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance
• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check

🧑‍⚕️ Role Expectations:
• Perform majority of pediatric ER patient care skills with minimal orientation
• Deliver strong nursing assessments in a high-acuity pediatric emergency setting
