Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Night Shift Travel Registered Nurses for Adult Med/Surg units in Syracuse, NY. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment and capable of providing high-quality patient care with minimal supervision.

Schedule Requirements

• Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Required to work every other weekend

• Required to work 2 out of 3 major seasonal holidays

• Excessive time-off requests and fixed day scheduling will not be approved

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care Med/Surg setting

• Perform thorough nursing assessments and implement patient care plans

• Start IV lines and draw laboratory specimens

• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC Electronic Medical Records

• Deliver patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN License/Registration

• BLS Certification (must be active and maintained)

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience (within the last 2 years)

• Experience working in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred

• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to perform patient care duties with minimal orientation and supervision
