Description
Title: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 44 weeks
Shift: Day – 5x7.5-Hour (07:00 – 14:30)
Job Responsibilities
• Provide speech-language pathology services to K–12 students in a school-based setting
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team
• Conduct student assessments, screenings, and progress monitoring
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aligned with educational goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Support students across multiple school sites as needed
• Adhere to school schedules, policies, and state education requirements
• Work a consistent daytime schedule during the academic year
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload across K–12 grade levels
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school team
• Comfortable traveling between school sites as needed
• Flexibility and adaptability in an educational environment
Required Certifications & Licensure
• Active Colorado Speech Language Pathologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start) – required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) – required
